I was on the internet today in my DASN (Dementia Advocacy Support Network) chat. We were sharing with each other where we were born. Sometime in the conversation, they asked me where my husband, Vince, was born. Knowing that I would never be able to spell it, I thought I better ask him before trying to type it.

Vince was in the back of the house watching TV so I called him on our intercom phone. "How do you spell the town you were born in?" He said it is spelled
D-U-Q-U-E-S-N-E.

Then he said to me - "What about the chicken?" So I said
C-H-I-C-K-E-N.

I could hear him laughing clear out in the living room. He was laughing so hard and then he came out and told me he didn't want to know how to spell it, he wanted to know how we were going to cook the chicken for dinner.

We had a good laugh over that one and I told him to remember that he can't change the subject that fast and expect me to keep up.

By the way, the chicken is roasting in the oven as I type.

The Funny Little Things

I found out yesterday that hair gel should not be spread all over your face. From now on I will not keep the face cream and the hair gel anywhere near each other.

Vince woke me up this morning to ask me if I wanted to sleep longer. Hmmmmmm

I either have to stop using paper plates or start using plastic ware with them. Using my tableware with paper plates is just not working. I want to throw everything away.

Why does it take me so many tries to log into this blog? And where did I put the log in name and password anyway so I wouldn't forget how to log in?

I organized the closet but still can't find anything.

If I'm confused already, why do I still have 2 email accounts to keep up with?

Vince bought me a digital watch since telling time is becoming more difficult. The watch also tells the date and day so I don't have to ask that question so much. Now - If I just could remember where I put the watch............

411 and 911 look too much alike. oops!

Boiled eggs really should be peeled prior to biting into them. And while we are on that one - I must remember to keep boiled and non-boiled in a different place in the refrigerator.

Here I Am Again

My computer crashed some time ago. Although I had it repaired, it had to go back to the shop again. When it finally came back, I had to re-load everything. This is no easy task for a person with dementia. It was still not working right so I had to get a new wireless card for it. (more software to load but first I had to figure out how to get the firewall off the router) Being the stubborn woman that I am, I was not about to ask for help. LOL When I got that done, the printer wouldn't work after I reloaded that software. GRRRRRRRRR I finally have everything working now.

Today, I set about trying to remember how to get back to this blog since all my favorites got wiped out and then I had trouble remembering how to log in once I found the site. I'm telling you - the party never ends! I had everything written down, of course, I just can't remember where the safe place is that I put the information.

Can't remember the last time I have had so much fun. NOT!!!!! Sorry I was away for so long. I will have to get back into the swing of things.
