September 11

Like many other Americans, I can remember exactly what I was doing when word came that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center. Obviously a terrible accident had happened and we rushed to a TV at work to see what had happened. We were both saddened and amazed at what was unfolding from this 'accident' when the second plane became visible. I will never forget the shock and disbelief as the second plane hit the tower. The absolute sickening feeling that overwhelmed me at that moment is still fresh after 6 years. This was not an accident. It was deliberate, a horrifying disregard for human life that haunts all of us so many years past the initial shock. I can only imagine what it was like for those involved.

Please pause for a moment to remember..... and to pray that this never happens again.

Back Again

Everytime I go away for a while, I forget how to get into this blog. I write it down but don't know where I put it. It took me 30 minutes to figure it out today, but here I am.

We went to California in August for two weeks. The airport is always so confusing for me but my husband was with me so that made it easier. We went to help his sister move to her new place. She bought a mobile home. She is almost 80 so needed some help. It was lots of work but by the time we left, she was pretty much settled. It always makes me feel good to help someone else.

My friend from DASNI (Mari - along with her husband Dave) will be coming to Ohio this month. They live in Oklahoma. I am ver excited that I will get to meet them. We chat almost everyday.

Our friends in Florida (Debby and Sam) just got back today from a cruise. We didn't get to go this time but will see them in November. We can't wait!

I have been very tired lately. Not sure why. Sleeping sometimes 10-11 hours. If it continues, I will have to see the doctor.

Today was Vince's 2 year anniversary from having his open heart surgery. He is doing very well and I thank God everyday that his health has improved.
