Changes

I was looking at my blog today and it just looked very plain to me. I thought I should change it up a little. I hope you like the changes. Please let me know. Also, I added a picture of myself at the bottom of the blog.

Sometimes you just need to make a change. There is so little that I have control over now that I am constantly looking for ways to regain control.

We will be cruising off to Alaska soon and I'm really looking forward to it. We will fly to Seattle and stay for a day before boarding the ship for our cruise. Traveling is very tiring for me, but we hope to continue to travel for a while. We do take extra precautions now. We have portable alarms for the doors of our cabin and for the hotel rooms so that if I get confused (especially at night), the alarm will go off and Vince will be alerted that I'm trying to leave the room. We usually get a bracelet from the ship (like the kids wear) that is coded for ship personnel to assist me if I get lost or to get me to the correct lifeboat in case of an emergency. We spend a day before and a day after the cruise in a hotel so that I can rest before or after flying. We travel with friends that understand the situation and provide 'extra eyes' for safety.

Changes both for traveling and for our home allow more independence so I'm all for anything that does that!
